Climbing has been one of my
favourite activities since late sixties, when I was less then ten. Alternating
periods of
intense activity with pauses, I have been climbing for more ore less 30 years.
What I really like is rock climbing, I mean the feel of the
stone under your fingers, possibly dressed with a secluded environment and,
most of all, a
climbing team I feel good with.
Nobody could define me a strong climber; I know my limits and
like to climb where I feel at ease. Usually I lead on III-IV grade (UIAA)
classic routes
in the Dolomites range, especially Sella, Sassolungo, and Odle.
I am not very fond of indoor and sport climbing, which I
practice just to train. For this purpose I have my own climbing wall at home
too.
My very poor experience on ice and snow is a lack I plan to fill very soon.
